At a Glance

Welcome to Chickadees, where we infuse a touch of magic into learning for our little adventurers aged 4 to 5! Located in the heart of Nampa, Idaho, our in-home preschool is like a fun-filled amusement park for education—where joy and learning come together in the best ways possible. Our lively environment is packed with hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity, mixing play and teacher-led instruction. Miss Katie is dedicated to preparing every young explorer for the thrilling transition to kindergarten, all while nurturing their love for learning.

 

A Typical Day

At our preschool, every day is a fun-filled adventure! We kick things off with free play and circle time, then shake our sillies out with some lively music & movement – because who doesn’t love a good dance session? Our mini-lessons in literacy and math are cleverly disguised as games and we reinforce those skills in centers. We also sprinkle in time for captivating storytime and of course our favorite part of the day...snack time! With monthly themes such as All About Me, On The Farm, Weather, and many more, we create a buzzing atmosphere that keeps our little explorers eager to dive into the next big adventure.

Curriculum & Instruction​

In Miss Katie's classroom, learning is not one-size-fits-all! With a blend of creative curriculums and engaging activities, she ensures every student receives exactly what they need. Her direct instruction is purposeful, keeping lessons short and sweet to captivate those curious minds. Using the Heggerty Pre-K curriculum during circle time, she makes rhyming and sound blending a fun workout for little learners, setting the stage for future reading champions, one giggle at a time!
